The owner of a pornographic site who federal authorities consider the “mastermind” behind a commercial sex trafficking ring was recently extradited from Spain to appear in court nearly five years after felony charges were filed against him in San Diego. After the victims returned home, still believing that they would remain anonymous, Pratt and his co-defendants posted clips of the videos on heavily trafficked adult film sites, like Pornhub, to funnel traffic to the full-length versions of the videos on his website, GirlsDoPorn. The 12 videos posted by the account seen by WIRED have received up to 15,000 views each, and several have a ‘girlsdoporn.com’ watermark on the footage. The account that posted the videos has a version of “GirlsDoPorn” as its username and included the sex trafficking site in the title of the videos. Victims of the GirlsDoPorn case have reached a mutual settlement with Mindgeek, Pornhub’s parent company, as per a court document filed Friday, October 15. Brian Holm, the women’s lawyer, said, “The Parties reached a mutual resolution to resolve the dispute and the terms are confidential.” The agreement happened two years after GirlsDoPorn owners were convicted of intimidating and forcing 22 women into having sex on camera.
